Title: Walt Disney and Jessie James Media: Mixed Media Size: Sketchbook How are Walt Disney and Jessie James associated? This is a sketchbook response to two similar phenomenon. One is relatively known about ( this means known enough that The History Channel mentions if from time to time) and the other is my own observation. The connection with these two famous characters is everyone wants to be associated with them. Yes, I guess this is common with a lot of famous people, but in my life these two seem to come up the most. Jessie James is legendary for people claiming they are related to him. I heard this in my own family growing up and found it funny when I saw on The History Channel that he is renowned for being claimed as an ancestor. -­ Growing up loving art - the name Walt Disney was sure to come up in a lot of conversations. You can bet someone in the conversation will mention they know someone at Disney. It can be their Postman's cousin, a sister in law, anyone. The funny thing about the Disney name dropping is it does not even matter if you know the person. Just that you know someone who does. I hope you are saying that you know me someday : )
